Repairing the Social Fabric in an Age of Misinformation
We are living through a period of tremendous changes to our information ecosystem, resulting in growing concerns about misinformation and its effect on our society. While dominant discourse frames this issue as one mainly of false belief, and exclusively affecting the other side (which varies depending on your affiliation), this is misinformation in itself.
This webinar, led by Nick Rabb, will complicate the concept of misinformation, show how it affects us all regardless of political orientation, and share strategies we all can use to mend its damage to our social fabric.
Nick Rabb is a thinker and organizer who is motivated to help people think critically about politics and social life, as well as to develop strategies to move towards a
more just, cooperative and live-giving society. He is a postdoctoral researcher at California State University, Los Angeles.
