Joseph Gerson’s Thanksgiving Day Sermon, Plymouth, Ma. 1984

Forty years ago, when the City Fathers and Mothers of Plymouth, Massachusetts, wanted to add their weight to nationwide demands for peace and disarmament, they invited Joseph Gerson to give the annual holiday sermon. He recently stumbled across the text and thought it as applicable today as it was 40 years ago. Joseph held his audience back then, although descendents of 1620 Governor Bradford and several others walked out.  So much and so little change over the years….
