These tectonic and dangerous changes, in the interregnum defined by the relative decline of the West after centuries of Euro-American hegemony and the emergence of a multipolar world that are playing out before our eyes and will affect our children and grandchildrens’ lives. While working to prevent wars escalating from flashpoints, we must also press for cooperative diplomacy, if for no other reason than to stanch the climate emergency.
